For over two decades, Dakota Radio Group has put a huge effort into gathering consignments for an amazing absolute auction in mid-August. Everything from sandwiches and dirt to ATV’s and cars are sold at auction to benefit St. Mary’s Foundation.
This year, the effort is no different and you can expect some fantastic items to bid on. There is one major difference this year, though. Location!
The Ramkota in Pierre has been the site for the Crappie Days event. It held a large number of people and stuff and had food and beverages on-site. But this year, St. Mary’s Foundation and Dakota Radio Group have launched Crappie Days on the web. That’s right, the entire offering of items is on-line and you can shop for great deals in the comfort of your own home, in your pajamas if you’d like!
You are probably wondering, “Now, how’s that going to work?”
First, in order to bid on items, you’ll have to register, sort of like getting a bidders number at a live auction. You simply go to http://www.dakotaradiogroup.com/ and click on the On-Line Wheeler Dealer banner. That will take you to the On-Line Wheeler Dealer site, where you’ll click on the Register button and fill out the form. It’s easy to do and you’ll be ready to bid when the auction opens on August 10th at 7PM.
The auction will be live for one full week, 7PM on August 10th through 7PM on August 17th, so you have plenty of time to find the items you want and then bid on them. Another benefit to On-line Crappie Days is that if you are the current bidder on an item and a new bidder increases the bid, you will be notified via email that you’ve been outbid and will have an opportunity to place a new bid up until 7PM on Wednesday August 17th at 7PM.
Probably one of the best things about holding Crappie Days on-line is there’s no lines to stand in when its time to check out and pay for your items. At the close of the auction, certificates for your items will be marked and ready for you to pick up at Dakota Radio Group. You have options for payment, which include cash, check or credit card at Dakota Radio Group and you may pick up your certificates in person or when you register on-line, you can choose the credit card option and pay on-line. You can have your certificates mailed to you, which is especially handy if you don’t live right in the Pierre/Ft. Pierre area.
